This short video tutorial will help you get the most out of your E-Mail. This example shows how to set up a mailbox using the Hosting Scotland control panel and then use that mailbox with the free E-Mail client, Mozilla Thunderbird. It is available from this link [mozilla.org] and will run on PC, Mac and Linux

If you prefer to use another E-Mail client such as Microsoft Outlook Express or Eudora, the steps will be very similar.

Just The Facts

In a Hurry? No worries! - Here is the essential information you will need to set up your email if you already know how to set up your mailbox and configure your email program:

POP3 / IMAP4 Server Name: mail.hostingscotland.co.uk

Username: The username you set in the email control panel, eg: joeuser@mydomain.co.uk

SMTP Server Name*:Either yourisp's-smtp-server.com or mail.hostingscotland.co.uk

*Note: If you wish to use 'mail.hostingscotland.co.uk' as your SMTP server you will need to configure your email program to accept SMTP authentication, providing your POP3/IMAP4 username to login with.
